ARMSCOR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The successful candidate will ensure that the corporation effectively, efficiently and economically meetsthe defence materiel requirements of the Department, as well as the defence technology, research,development, analysis, test and evaluation requirements. He/she will oversee company operations to ensure expeditious delivery, efficiency, quality and cost-effective management of resources, while adhering to accepted corporate governance principles andbest business practices. A strong political and commercial awareness will be essential, as the CEO must be able to confidentlyinteract with high-ranking Parliamentary and Government officials, the Ministry of Defence, militaryofficers and representatives, clients and other relevant stakeholders. A good understanding of local andinternational defence industry is essential. The ideal candidate is a person of influence, boasting excellent communication skills and showing theexpertise to bring about transformation that will drive and support local defence-related industries. Requirements: • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is the minimum requirement • Extensive experience atExecutive Management level accompanied by a solid track record at leading an established and complexorganisation. A postgraduate business qualification will be advantageous • Demonstrable experience inorganisational turnaround and repositioning.
