AGRÉMENT SOUTH AFRICA Agrément South Africa (ASA) invites applicants to apply for the following permanent position based in Pretoria: Research and Development Specialist (Re-advertisement) Remuneration : R457067.00 per annum (All-inclusive Cost to Company) Reference number : ASA00033/2020 Purpose: To support the Technical Services Department of Agrément South Africa (ASA) by performing research and development activities related to non-standardised construction products and systems.
Qualifications and Experience: • B Degree in Built Environment discipline or equivalent qualification (NQF level 7) • 3 years’ work experience in the Built Environment • R&D experience (related to the Built Environment or Environmental Management) (Essential) • 2-3 years’ experience in Project Management (Essential) Other Advantageous Requirements: • Master’s degree in the relevant field (NQF Level 9) • Exposure in research and development of non-standardized construction products and systems • Publications of articles in recognized journals Skills: • Industry knowledge • Knowledge of research and development • Knowledge of environmental management (i.e. measures for energy and water saving, and climate change mitigation) • Technical research and report writing skills • Presentation skills • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Deadline-driven • Excellent communication skills • Innovative thinking • Strong planning and organisational skills • Accuracy and due diligence • Decision-making skills • Good facilitation and project management skills Application process The candidate will be subjected to integrity checks before appointment is made.
