Description
Purpose of the Job: 
The main purpose of this position is to manage data services to achieve the goals of the organizational data strategy and data governance related programmes. The role involves actively implementing controls that will ensure compliance of data assets to the relevant data related frameworks, policies, and standards. The focus will include driving implementation of data related initiatives and projects, as well as making sure that the FSCA achieves the required level of data consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs. This position will work closely with business area counterparts and ICT technical teams  to improve the quality and value of core data assets, respond to regulatory protection requirements as well as support the strategic requirements of the related departments. The person appointed to this position will report directly to Senior Specialist: Data Management

Key Performance Areas:
•Drive implementation of data projects and initiatives. 
•Responsible for supporting and implementing required data services in line with the DAMA framework.
•Drive the Data Quality Management program.
•Support the implementation of controls as required by the data governance framework, data quality framework and the data management framework.
•Develop control structures within the environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
•Manage, monitor and report on data governance compliance as well as data quality.
•Implement a business glossary.
•Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
•Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
•Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and ICT.
•Implement a data asset catalogue.
•Ensure the right information is available to the right stakeholders at the right time in support of the organization’s objectives.
•Ensure that information is available only to authorized parties and that its use does not put customers, partners, employees, or the brand in harm’s way.

Purpose of the Job:

Purpose of the Job:

The structured Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme provides students with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a professional environment, gain exposure to market conduct regulation and supervision, and understand the FSCA’s role in promoting the integrity and stability of South Africa’s financial markets. This programme also supports the FSCA in fulfilling its mandate to:
•transform the integrity of financial markets;
•protect financial customers by promoting fair treatment by financial institutions; and 
•provide financial customers with financial education and maintaining financial stability.

Roll out plan of the programme
Recommended candidates will be given an opportunity to learn under the supervision of a dedicated mentor. Students are assigned to a division, based on their qualifications, and exposed to various competency-based training during the WIL programme.

Purpose of the Job: 
The ICT Security Engineer: Analysis and Support, will play a critical role in safeguarding the organisation's information and cyber security posture. This position is primarily responsible for the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and support, cyber threat analysis and investigative activities to manage the security events and incidents. This role will also be responsible for the training programme to encourage a culture of cyber security awareness, compliance to policies, standards procedures and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for security project initiatives and to facilitate mitigation plans across the organisation. Key Performance Areas:
•Monitor the cyber security operations center and respond to the security incident response actions.
•Coordinate the cyber security incident response (CSIRT), periodically update the cyber security incident response plan (CSIRP) and Crisis Management Plan (CMP) as required.
•Coordinate the periodic security penetration testing and security vulnerability remediation activities.
•Manage and maintain optimal performance of the Security Operations Center solutions (log collector agents, SIEM, XDR and Vulnerability Management)
•Define and develop the annual cyber security awareness programme, calendar and publish awareness content to the organisation.

Purpose of the Job:
To conduct forensic regulatory investigations within the financial services industry (financial markets, insurance, collective investment schemes, hedge funds, pension funds and financial and advisory services) and to take responsibility for the regulatory and enforcement action, following from such investigations. Persons appointed to these positions will report to the Senior Manager.

• Responsible for coordinating, planning and conducting thematic, full market conduct on-site inspections including direct engagements with supervised entities in terms of the risk
   based supervision approach, and in line with the departmental supervision objectives and plans;
• Report on the findings and recommend corrective actions where feasible;
• Conduct research and provide specialist technical advice both within the department and to other external stakeholders;
• Liaise and collaborate closely with relevant departments across the organisation, particularly in instances where the entity is supervised by various departments;
• Adhere to department policies and processes including service level commitments;
• Manage and co-ordinate technical projects in the department; and

Requirements
A degree in Law or Insurance Risk Management, with at least 5 years’ experience in an insurance technical, compliance or risk management role. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, and in particular, the insurance industry is required. Experience in a compliance or risk management role within an insurer would be an added advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with a certification in Compliance or Risk Management.

Description
Purpose of the Job:

• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing data systems.

Requirements
The incumbent must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, currently pursuing studies and has ideally passed, or been exempted from at least six of the A-series subjects of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
